2. GEP on the lines of GDP needs to be given due consideration.
3. There is stress on the fringe area villages and the forests across the country. A judicious realistic approach to rejuvenate these areas is required.
4. Forest and urban landscapes revival and improvement of life in these landscapes. Appropriate plant species that can absorb pollutants in urban areas need to be identified.
5. Native forest species need to be encouraged while planning for rejuvenation or restoration of degraded forests.
6. Traditional knowledge be taken into consideration while conserving biodiversity, recharging groundwater aquifers, management of water reservoirs in different parts of the country.
7. Microbial diversity is important and needs to be evaluated for each state and in particular Uttarakhand.
8. Invasive species need to be envisaged judiciously to ensure cross pollination.
9. Intersectoral linkage be given consideration to ensure sustainable landscape management before evolving strategies that are ecologically, economically and socially compatible.
10. Native air pollution tolerant species be used for plantation and landscaping in smart city development.
