Objectives
SAFER is concerned mainly with the applications of forest ecology to solve the present day environmental issues.
The Society provides a common platform to forest ecologists , ethnobotanists and technologists working in the field of restoration and biodiversity conservation in academic, research institutes and industries to share experiences and discuss recent developments. The main aim of SAFER has been to further advancement of knowledge in the field research, development of new technologies for degraded natural and man-made forests.
To Promote Research and application of ecological principles in forest ecosystems with special reference to ecological restoration, biodiversity conservation, climate change, environmental impact assessment and ethnobotanical knowledge to help and support socioeconomic development in forest and fringe areas.
To conduct research and awareness training programmes, undertake consultancy for developmental projects and publication of journal .
